İngilizce öğrenmede kuşkusuz dizi ve film izlemenin çok büyük faydaları var. Ben de İngilizce öğrenmeye başladıktan sonra Yabancı dizilere bağımlı hale geldim ve artık Türk dizilerini takip etmiyorum. Bugün sizlere Komedi türünde sevdiğim bir dizi olan Young & Hungry den bahsedeceğim. Hazırsanız haydi vakit kaybetmeden başlayalım :)
Yaklaşık 20 dakika olan bu komedi dizisi Freeform kanalında yayınlanmış bir dizidir. İzleyici kitlesi daha çok gençlerden olan bu dizinin uzun yıllar ekranda olmasını beklerdim. Dizi 5 sezon boyunca izleyicilere birbirinden komik ve güzel sahneler sundu. Ben şu anda dizinin 1. sezonundayım. Şu ana kadar 7 bölüm izledim. Aktif olarak diziyi izlemeye çalışıyorum. Sizlerede şiddetle tavsiye ederim.
Dizinin Konusu ve Karakterlerimiz
Dizinin konusu ve genelinde Gabi adlı karakterin ve arkadaşlarının başından geçenlerin anlatıldığı bir yapımdır. Hikayeler San Francisco'da geçmektedir.
- Gabi (Emily Osment), aşçılık yapmak için iş arayan bir aşçıdır.
- Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) ise yaptığı uygulamalarla zengin olmuş teknoloji milyoneridir. Egosu yüksek, lüks bir evde yaşıyor ve evinde çalışması için şef arıyor. Gabi de böyle bir iş için yeterli referansı bulunmasa da başvurusunu yapıyor ve şansını deniyor.
Başta Josh için profesyonel ve ünlü bir şef düşünen yardımıcısı Elliot‘un (Rex Lee) engeline takılmış olsa da Josh, Gabi'ye bir şans vermeyi kabul eder. Josh'un işi Gabi'ye vermesi için bir şartı vardır : Evlenme teklif edeceği sevgilisi Caroline’a evet demesi için harika bir yemek organize etmesidir. Elliot eşcinseldir. Josh'un yaveri diyebiliriz. Peşinden ayrılmamaktadır. Elliot her fırsatta Gabi’ye laf sokmalarını sürekli göreceksiniz.
İlerleyen saatlerde Gabi güzelce yemekleri hazırlar ancak işler Josh'un planlandığı gibi gitmez ve sevgilisi Caroline(Mallory Jansen), Josh'u terk eder. Bunun üzerine Gabi Josh'u teselli etmek için ona yakınlaşır ve sarhoş olan bu ikili geceyi birlikte geçirir. Sabah aynı yataktan kalktıklarını gören ikilimiz hata yaptıklarını ve bundan kimseye bahsetmeyeceklerini söylerler. Caroline hatasını anlayıp sabah Josh'a geri döner. Tam olarak herkesten de saklayamazlar ve evde çalışan, ev işlerine bakan Yolanda (Kym Whitley) ve Elliot bu durumdan haberdar olurlar. Profesyonel bir şekilde Gabi şeflik görevini sürdürür.
Sofia (Aimee Carrero), Gabi’nin en sevdiği arkadaşıdır. Aynı zamanda ufak bir evde de onun ev arkadaşlığını yapmaktadır. Kariyer odaklı, Latin Amerika kökenlidir. Gabi ile çok iyi anlaşmaktadır. Gabi onun için resmen kardeş gibidir.
Yolanda (Kym Whitley) da yıllardır Josh’un yanında çalışan Josh'un sevdiği biridir. Temizlik, ev işlerine bakan hizmetlidir. Aklına geleni söyleyen, komik, keyfine düşkün birisidir. Elliot açık eşcinsel bu arada. Dizide kendisine yer edinen konulardan birisi de Elliot ve Yolanda’nın birbirleriyle sürekli dalaşmaları ve bazen de birbirlerinin arkasından iş çevirmeleriyle dizi dahada keyifleniyor.

Meanwhile, Elliot is angry after he is saved from a life-threatening situation by Yolanda rather than his husband Alan.
Season 4 - Episode 3 - Young & Fried : Gabi leads Josh to believe she's landed an amazing job with celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. But Josh is determined to outsmart Gabi while keeping his own secret. Meanwhile, everyone gathers at Josh's penthouse to celebrate Yolanda's 50th birthday.
