İngilizce öğrenmede kuşkusuz dizi, film ve program izlemenin çok büyük faydaları var. Ben de İngilizce öğrenmeye başladıktan sonra Yabancı dizilere bağımlı hale geldim ve artık Türk dizilerini ve programlarını takip etmiyorum. Bugün sizlere Bilim türünde sevdiğim bir program olan Brain Games den bahsedeceğim. Hazırsanız haydi vakit kaybetmeden başlayalım :)
Brain Games, yanılsamalara, psikolojik deneylere ve sezgisel düşünceye odaklanarak bilişsel bilimi araştıran popüler bir bilim televizyon programıdır. Neil Patrick Harris, ilk sezonda kendisini göstermeyen sunucuydu. İlerleyen sezonlarda ise yerine ev sahibi ve sunum yapan Jason Silva yerini aldı.
El çabukluğu sanatçısı Apollo Robbins, şovlarda sık sık danışman ve illüzyonist bir konuk olmuştur. Şovlar etkileşimlidir, televizyon izleyicilerini, genellikle birkaç gönüllüyle birlikte, görsel, işitsel ve diğer bilişsel deneylere ya da her bölümde sunulan ana noktaları vurgulayan "zihin oyunlarına" katılmaya teşvik eder.
Brain Games, National Geographic Channel'da 2011 yılında özel olarak tanıtıldı. 1.sezonda sadece 3.bölüm çekilmiştir. 2013 yılında ise orijinal bir program olarak geri dönüş yapan Brain Games, 1.5 milyon izleyiciye sahip herhangi bir National Geographic Channel orijinal serisi için en yüksek izleyici derecesi için rekor kırdı. 7. Sezon 2016'da yayınlandı. National Geographic, Brain Games'in 2018 sonbaharında 2 saatlik canlı bir etkinlik olarak geri döneceğini açıkladı. Aralık 2018'den beridir ise hiçbir canlı program gerçekleşmedi.
